iMemories converts the following formats:

Is the iMemories app free?
Yes! There is no charge for the iMemories App. However iMemories Cloud is required for unlimited viewing, sharing and storage. You get a free 30-day trial of iMemories Cloud with every digitization order. An ongoing iMemories Cloud subscription is $7.99 per month or $49.99 per year if you would like ongoing unlimited viewing, sharing and storage.
How do I share my memories with my family?
iMemories Cloud lets you access your family memories from whatever device you're on. Your videos and photos are safely stored in iMemories Cloud and are accessible through iMemories apps on iPhone and iPad, Android phone and tablet, PC or Mac and select Smart TVs. iMemories Cloud gives you peace of mind and makes finding, viewing and sharing your family memories simple and fast.
Can iMemories convert recorded TV shows or Hollywood movies from VHS tapes?
No. iMemories is not able to process copyrighted materials such as TV shows or Hollywood movies. However, if a videotape has a blend of home movies and TV or movie footage, the TV or movie footage will be removed, but, the home movie footage will be preserved.
Will you return my originals
Yes, all originals will be shipped back to you after they are converted to digital. Please do not send adapters, cameras or personal artifacts (envelops, letters or notes) with your order. Allow 4 weeks after your order is processed for the return of your originals. Shipping fees apply.
Where does iMemories process orders?
All of our orders are processed in our new state-of-the-art facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. Given the high level of importance and value we place on your older analog memories, it was essential for us to locate iMemories in a place where there are no natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes or floods. Our new 50,000 sq. ft. facility located in the heart of the ''Silicon Desert'' provides us access to an abundant and highly trained labor pool. This allows iMemories to provide the world's premier digitization service. Your family memories remain in one location throughout the entire process until we return them to you. This ensures that our service provides an unparalleled level of safety and security.
Is there a limit to how many I can send?
No, there is no limit. We can handle any size order. It's not uncommon for iMemories to receive orders with over 100 videotapes and movie films, and over 10,000 photos.
How long does it take?
Once we receive your order, you will receive an email notification within 5-7 days to review and pay for your order to be processed. Once you pay for your order, iMemories will begin processing your order. Click here to see current turnround times.
How do I tell how many feet of movie film are on a reel?
Most home movie film reels have markings on the side of the (metal) reel that indicate the length. You will traditionally see 200 feet, 300 feet, or 400 feet for 8mm or Super 8. Traditionally, the smallest reels (plastic), the ones that measure 3 inches in diameter, are 50-foot reels.
The length and run time of 8mm film and Super 8 film are as follows:
• 3 inch reel (50 feet) 2-3 minutes
• 4 inch reel (100 feet) 5-6 minutes
• 5 inch reel (200 feet) 12-14 minutes
• 6 inch reel (300 feet) 19-22 minutes
• 7 inch reel (400 feet) 26-29 minutes
16mm film running time will be approximately half of 8mm film or Super8 film.
